Russia reports new strikes And advances in Ukraine

Date unknown

Vremya's military roundup asserts Russian capture of Kyianytsia in Sumy Oblast and continued advances around other Ukrainian settlements. It reports overnight strikes and serious electricity, metro, water and sewer disruption in Kyiv, with warnings about evacuation and rising accommodation costs elsewhere. It quotes Zelenskyy criticizing preparation and Klitschko criticizing corruption. The anchor counts eight long-range attacks over the week; a quoted military bulletin counts seven group strikes against purported military-industrial, energy, logistics, airfield, drone and personnel targets. The package shows or describes claimed hits in Zaporizhzhia, Odesa and Ivano-Frankivsk. It also describes attacks on an Oskil crossing, Russian drone operations at Kyianytsia, the asserted Dobropillia pocket, strikes on its drone-command shelters and a Pskov-paratrooper claim of more than 500 Ukrainian personnel killed during failed breakout attempts. Artillery and Kostiantynivka mine-clearance footage complete the report. Russian control, military uses, losses and operational success remain source claims without independent confirmation in this account.

Vremya claims Russian North-group paratroopers have taken full control of Kyianytsia in Sumy Oblast and are clearing it. It shows or describes drone attacks on fortified Ukrainian positions and presents the operation as part of a border buffer-zone plan. The capture and control are Russian claims without independent confirmation in the broadcast; the underlying capture day is not established. TSN's October 10 frontline bulletin relays the 8th Air Assault Corps' denial of Russian commanders' claim to have captured Kyianytsia. It says the situation is difficult but reports no major battles or enemy offensives there. The Russian assertion and Ukrainian rebuttal remain conflicting attributed positions; neither retrieved broadcast independently proves control or establishes the underlying capture day.
