About this event

Zunyi Conference

Jan 15–17, 1935

CCTV recalls the January 15–17, 1935 Zunyi Conference's military and organizational deliberations and describes it as a decisive turning point for the CPC and Red Army. Museum director Zhao Wei explains its spirit of conviction, truth, independence and unity. The feature recalls the Red Army's four months across Guizhou and Chishui crossings, and describes preservation of more than 700 sites through the Long March National Cultural Park, digital presentations and study tours. It then reports 50 operating or planned data centers and deployed computing capacity of 176 quintillion operations per second. For the 15th Five-Year Plan, Guizhou plans six major industrial clusters and distinctive textiles, ecological-food and pharmaceutical industries. Fang Xuebing pledges traditional-industry upgrades, emerging and future industries and a modern industrial system. Those commitments are prospective; the report supplies no date for his interview or the strategy's adoption.

The CPC Central Committee Political Bureau held an enlarged meeting in Zunyi, Guizhou, on January 15–17, 1935, addressing military and organizational issues during the Red Army's Long March. CCTV calls it a decisive turning point that saved the Party, Red Army and revolution and enabled independent resolution of revolutionary problems. Museum director Zhao Wei describes its legacy in terms of conviction, truth, independence and unity; these historical significance assessments retain source attribution.
